"A Song for Peace" was first performed in the summer of 2006 following the death of 13 year old Alexzander Anthony. The play was written in response to the children of a local mission group, Felege Hiywot Center, wanted to express their emotions after losing a dear friend to many and an uncle to one of the students. Gun crime had impacted these children in a significant way and producing a play concerning this issue was one way to deal with the complex emotions of losing a loved one.
