Oh My goodness! What a day I had on Monday!
On Monday I took Hadessa to the doctor, which went really well. He does chiropractic medicine and will be helping us using nutritional therapy with her and Selah and Micaiah. But Hadessa was really hungry and I saw that they had some protein bars available so I got one to split. The nurse was eager to help and started to give them the bar but I had to quickly interrupt and check all ingredients for nuts. There were no nuts listed in the ingredients.
But straight away Selah started begging for water and itching. micaiah's face turned bright red and started itchin and hadessa's stomach started hurting. the nurse pulled out this big binder to look further into the ingredients and found there was almond oil used in the product. So I drove them to CVS and got some benedryl from the nurse's advice and then noticed that Micaiah's lips were swollen and turning blue and Selah wouldn't stop screaming and Hadessa kept complaining about her stomach. So I tried to plug my phone into the charger to call the nurse back but in my franticness jammed the charger into the phone to hard and broke it. So i had no phone at this point-only God whispering peace to me. I drove back to the nurse only a mile away and she told me where the nearest Urgent care was. thankfully only a few miles down the road by Walmart. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot Selah started vomiting-okay good she was getting it out-but she started screaming more. i thought the urgent care was in walmart but something said ask that man. Thank God I did because it was in the plaza NEXT to walmart. I put the kids back into the car and as soon as I pulled out Micaiah started vomiting as well. So I had to stop the car, get out and hold Micaiah forwards so he wouldn't choke. At this time I just wanted to take them home but was too worried. So I found urgent care and took them inside.
I had to take Selah's pants off because she wouldn't stop screaming from all of the vomit on her clothes. Thank goodness she had a type of dress over her pants so she was covered. At this point they all started calming down. The nurse was gracious and took Micaiah back right away to make sure his throat wasn't swollen shut. But he was fine. Hadessa was fine but Selah's throat was a little swollen. We waited and Micaiah started to have diarreah. The nurse said it would be another 25 minutes so I decided to take them home since they were all calming down and stoped itching. I felt peace about that and it was better they could recover at home. When we got home Hadessa wanted some water and then promptly threw up everything as well. Then she stopped complaining about her stomach. after i bathed everyone, they slept for 3 hours. I dozed as well.
Yesterday I was so exhausted and they day just sped by so I'm sorry I didn't call.
In relation to the actual visit concerning Hadessa's skin. Hadessa is on a detox right now. the doctor believe's there is a yeast overgrowth in her digestive system. She just needs everything flushed. We have to get rid of sugar and white processed flour for the whole family. The doctor feels that stress in the womb can show up as eczema on the skin. So he asked alot about her delivery and as you know it wasn't the easiest delivery. but I am grateful to God that all is well now.
So the lesson of the day was always have your phone charged and keep a bag of extra clothes and benadryl in the car! Most importantly Mother's intuition is never to be ignored.
