Everyday holds wonderful manifestations of God's love. He teaches me lessons through my children and the journey of life. I found out that one just has to open their eyes and start looking at the mundane in a creative way.

A Dream Trip
Dija Henry

Well this has been a crazy week! I am blogging from Charlotte, North Carolina on my way to Montego Bay, Jamaica! It is pretty quiet so far I'm the only person at the gate...but I am 2 hours early. My first flight went pretty well. I had to pray really hard when the plane started to take off. For some reason I just get anxious thinking about the lack of freedom I have on the plane. I can't get up when I want. I can only go to the restroom when the captain says it's okay, and I can't go to the kitchen to get a snack when I want to. So I prayed and tried to imagine angels around me. One in particular I was imagining praying for me. It is always a comfort knowing that someone is praying for you isn't it? I could immediately feel my heart rate begin to slow down. I had to remember that God is Jehovah. The All Sufficient One. The plane is in His hands, not the pilot.I guess it didn't help that I did not go to sleep last night but packed for two hours straight after I returned from my friend's going away party 3 hours away so please excuse me if this blog is random, poorly punctuated or makes absolutely no sense. Random note: How come when you're with the kids day in and day out you pray for a break? And as soon as you get a break you miss your kids? This is a strange and twisted phenomenon. Not fair!

Well WHY are you taking this solo flight to the mother land? You might be asking? Well several reasons. My mother is from Jamaica so I have lots of family to visit including my grandmother who is in her mid-90's. WOOP WOOP to Mama! My sister is their as well taking a break from her podiatry rounds and also to take some video to put together a video presentation for the medical clinic that my mother is building. She has been working on this for many years and it is close to completion! She has also built apartments for missionaries and doctors to come and stay in while they work. I am really proud of my mother. This has been a dream of hers for a long time. The people of Good Hope really need a clinic nearby. There will be dentistry, nursing, and other basic medical services provided in the name of Jesus Christ! I can't believe that I have this wonderful opportunity to travel and do something like this especially for my mother. I really believe that images are powerful and by creating a video of what is happening with the clinic it will give others a better idea of what is happening in a land  far away from us... with people like us...who don't have all of the medical attention that we have.

God is good! I don't know if I'll be able to blog while in Jamaica but I'm gonna try and find some wi-fi somewhere! LOL! I've got 3 videos planned for when I come back so please don't forget to check out my youtube channel when you have a chance. I would love to get some feedback so I can improve my work.

This is the day the Lord has made rejoice and be glad in it!
