As some of you know I love crafting things. I actually get quite giddy when I enter a Michael's, Hobby Lobby or, Jo-Ann Fabric and craft store,I started a few years ago with cardmaking and have branched into a little sewing. I wanted to share a few of my recent projects!

Look at the lamp not the painting! Ha! I decorated the lampshade with ribbon and a black sharpie and painted the base with black acrylic paint. Cost: $4.00. (The painting is by a talented friend of mine.)

My first adult apron! I made this for my mother in law for a very late Mother's Day gift. It has 3 pockets and one little pocket for pens. I gave it to her yesterday at the FHC mission. I am so happy that it was "just what she needed" She immediately threw off her fanny pack and transitioned most of her items to the new apron. I tell you-when I make a practical pretty thing that someone likes-it makes me sooo happy! Cost: $1. (I got the fabric at a garage sale 2 years ago!)

Paper crafts!

I used some muslin for this project and stenciled the pattern onto the fabric with acrylic paint before sewing the pillow. The closure are 4 earthtone buttons you can't see in the picture. I made another pillow to match with the same stencil in a differnt pattern. Cost $0 since I had all the stuff laying around the house.
