Inspire(d) Blog

Everyday holds wonderful manifestations of God's love. He teaches me lessons through my children and the journey of life. I found out that one just has to open their eyes and start looking at the mundane in a creative way.

No snatching!!
Dija Henry

In a previous blog I noted how my children have taken an affinity to the cartoons of my childhood through the wonderful power of netflix! LOL! They love Tom and Jerry, and the sky dancers especially. The sky dancers are a bunch teens that are dancers but travel to another dimension as "sky dancers" to protect the Wingdom and it's queen. One particular episode had the evil guy snatch the jeweled glove of the queen which rendered her powerless. I kept thinking my God. I am so glad that satan CANNOT just snatch away the power of the Holy Spirit from us that easily. Once you receive the gift of salvation through Christ Jesus the Holy Spirit is sealed to you.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (New International Version)

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

Take away: The Holy Spirit dwells within us. Our body is His temple.

Ephesians 4:29-30 (New International Version)

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Sealed (studylight.org): marked with a seal (like a letter or stamp has a king's seal), to prove one's testimony to a person that he is what he professes to be.

Take away:The Holy Spirit is sealed to us. No one can break this seal

Titus 3:4-6 (New International Version)

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior

Take away: It is nothing that we have done to deserve this but because of His mercy He saved us and gave us His spirit.

2 Timothy 1:13-15 (New International Version)

What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Take away: During this time Timothy was transitioning from working under Paul towards his own ministry. What is that good thing that has been deposited within us?

When you hear the good news and teachings of God what does it produce in you? Spiritual gifts, a changed heart, the fruits of the spirit. These are things that must be guarded against the enemy taking away.

Guard (studylight.org): (keep, preserve, keep from being snatched away)

Although the enemy cannot snatch your salvation he will try to steal your joy, hope, and faith. Guard it with the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Learn God's truths and keep it in your heart so you can fight. You are a blessed child of God, He loves you and wants you to rejoice in this day for He has made it!
