Everyday holds wonderful manifestations of God's love. He teaches me lessons through my children and the journey of life. I found out that one just has to open their eyes and start looking at the mundane in a creative way.

Princess mentality
Dija Henry

My 3 year old daughter gets up every day with a princess mindset. She puts on a a pretty dress, she gets her home made princess head gear (which consists of a sheer fabric from an old dress and a red velvet headband to hold it in place), puts her hands firmly on her hips and tells me with up turned chin that she's a princess. Before when her tiara was wearable (it's since broke...darn plastic tiaras!) I would let her wear it out when we would run errands. I mean why not? You're only 3 once. Geesh-I would wear my wedding tiara out to run errands if I had the guts! But I live vivariously through my 3 year old. Surprisingly, the strangers that comment on "princess" smile happily and say "Oh she's such a pretty princess" or "I love it!" I think that many of us wish to give ourselves the freedom to be princesses...or princes. There is something wonderful about little girls. They really love to be princesses. I never pushed this on my girls, they some how discovered this princess thing. It's natural...and you are a member of a royal family as well if you have trusted in Jesus. You're father is the King of kings and Lord of Lords. God Almighty.

My 3 year old

Do you wake up every day and remember to have a princess mindset? If you needed something your Father the King would take care of it. If you had a problem you couldn't figure out-you would go to your Father, the king, wouldn't you?

In "Lord I Want to know you" by Kay Arthur I am studying the names of God. I just finished "El Elyon" The God most High.

The memory verse is Psalm 57:2

I will cry to God most high, to God who accomplishes all things for me.

This verse is so profound! After studying the verses:

Daniel 4:34-35

Isaiah 14:24,27

Isaiah 46:9-11

Daniel 2:20-23

I began to see that God is sovereign and supreme. And guess what? He's my Father! Wouldn't you like a father like this? One you can cry out to and HE accomplishes all things for you! I see why women of faith look so beautiful and young even as they mature. They remember that they are princesses and their Father takes care of all things! So tomorrow when you get up-if you know God as your Father-put on your princess mentality, your tiara, put your chin up, and tell the world (with a humble heart) WHY you are a princess.
