Everyday holds wonderful manifestations of God's love. He teaches me lessons through my children and the journey of life. I found out that one just has to open their eyes and start looking at the mundane in a creative way.

Something that made me sob...
Dija Henry

I was doing research for a role that I am playing. The character that I'm playing is a girl who was raped by her step father starting at the age of 6 and continues into a life where she makes some wrong descisions. As I was doing research I came across videos of women in the congo telling their stories of rape and violence. I don't understand how some of these acts can be committed! It just breaks my heart. Children as young as 11 months are being raped and as old as grandmothers.

These women cannot say anything becuase their husbands will force them to leave if they tell so many are forced to keep silent. I cannot imagine the pain and depression these women and children go through. I am sobbing as I write this. I can tell you honestly that it is soo hard to understand why these things are allowed to happen. What kind of person rapes a baby?

Please pray for these women and their families. Please pray that God will send His angels to them. I know there are children who cry and there is no one to hold them and make things right or protect them. We see our children cry every day and rush to help them but imagine a child who cries with no one to hold them and protect them. I try to imagine what I can do to help-or what needs to be done to solve the problem but it only comes back to God. He is the only one who can heal a soul and change a man's heart. And it seems like there are alot of souls that need healing and alot of heart's need to be changed...

Here is a link to the video I watched. Warning you in advance that the material is disturbing. I cannot bear to know what is happening around our world today but I cannot turn my head away either. They need us to look and see what is going on!
