Whew! We finally completed the three day showing of A Song for Peace and I must say that I was extremely pleased with how things went. Not everything went perfectly...but in a way it did. I learned soo much over these last three months of rehearsal. Most of all I learned that God is in control. He is the casting director, the CEO, the visionary...and the executive producer! There were times when roles had to be recast or scenes had to be changed around and I would start to worry. But I had to get a grip...seriously! Whose show was this any way? Over the last two years of doing this show I learned that this was God's show and He was not going to let me forget it.
Our opening night one of our cast members prayed an interesting prayer. One that I will never forget. He prayed that whatever had to happen on stage in order to bring someone closer to God, let it happen. Whether we fall on our faces, or do a show without a hitch. Well at the end of the show, the computer holding all of our sound cues and videos for the show crashed at a critical point during the show. And at first I was devistated but looking back I see that there was a reason. Although there were many positive comments I was reminded that doing theater for the Lord is not about the technology or remembering lines or the set but IT'S ABOUT GOD. I was so touched that through that ordeal we on stage felt compelled to encourage one another even though we were feeling disappointed. And that helped us through the next two days to have a dynamic run! I was so impacted by the young people in our cast as well. Doing a show not only ministers to those watching the show but to those in the cast. I am so in awe of what the Lord has done. Thank you to everyone! This is not something that can be done alone. WOW! I am so full of joy!
We have some new projects coming up so please continue to stay in touch and feel free to follow me on facebook!
